Invest in Latam<\/strong>, a leading organization in the promotion of key initiatives for the transformation of Latin America, is pleased to invite you to the meeting “Latam Mobility: Colombia<\/strong>“, which will bring together the main protagonists of the present and future of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting, which will be held on June 8 and 9 at the Orquideorama of the Botanical Garden of Medellin<\/strong>, will be attended by the top representatives of the public and private sector in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 400 people will learn first-hand about the present and future of a wide range of topics related to mobility and sustainability, which will be vital for Latin America in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong> (SDGs) of the United Nations embodied in the 2015 Paris Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening remarks of “Latam Mobility: Colombia<\/strong>” will be given by the Minister of Transportation of Colombia, \u00c1ngela Mar\u00eda Orozco G\u00f3mez<\/strong>, who after her tenure in the entity has promoted the operational structure in charge of sustainable transport in her country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainable mobility as the transition backbone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first part of the day on June 8 will feature the participation of important public sector actors from Colombia and Ecuador, who will discuss the progress made in territorial planning linked to sustainable transportation through the panel “The revolution of sustainable mobility in Colombian cities<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a group of representatives of important companies such as Jaguar<\/strong>, General Motors<\/strong>, Volvo<\/strong>, Porsche <\/strong>and Renault <\/strong>will participate in the panel “The Transition of the Colombian Automotive Sector Towards Electric Vehicles<\/strong>“, and will show the present and future of public and private transportation in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the progress made in one of the key points for the promotion of electric mobility, through the panel “Strategies for the Implementation of Charging Infrastructure in Latin America<\/strong>“, with the participation of the companies Blink Charging<\/strong>, Siemens<\/strong>, Enel X Way Latin America<\/strong>, Vehya <\/strong>and Power Electronics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To close the first part of the day, companies linked to fleet management and solutions, such as Autocab<\/strong>, ABInBev<\/strong>, Geotab <\/strong>and Renting Colombia<\/strong>, will be present to provide updates on this important and innovative sector, which has been boosted after the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decarbonization, finance and infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second part of the first day will begin with the panel “Decarbonization of Public Transport and Bus Fleets in Colombia<\/strong>“, where the progress, challenges and projections of transport in the country and the region will be discussed. It will be attended by related companies, such as Transmilenio<\/strong>, Metro de Medellin<\/strong>, Transdev<\/strong>, BYD Colombia<\/strong>, Enel X<\/strong> and Hitachi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advances in mobility must have a series of vital factors for its implementation and growth, so the panel “Financial, Insurance and Infrastructure Management Sectors as Allies of Sustainable Mobility<\/strong>” will show the path that must be traced for the fulfillment of the goals. Representatives from General Motors<\/strong>, VG Mobility<\/strong> and the British Embassy in Colombia<\/strong> will shed light on the interaction between the different sectors involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuels, applications and micromobility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second day of the Summit, scheduled for June 9<\/strong>, will open with two essential topics for the promotion of zero-emission mobility in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panels “Sustainable Mobility: The Great Opportunity for Energy Companies<\/strong>” and “Clean Fuels (Natural Gas, Hydrogen, Biofuels), the allies to reduce emissions in the transport sector<\/strong>“, will have the participation of Celsia Energ\u00eda<\/strong>, Enel X Latin America<\/strong>, ICE<\/strong>, EPM,<\/strong> Naturgas,<\/strong> Ecopetrol<\/strong>, Fedebiocombustibles <\/strong>and Alianza GNV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives from Google Waze<\/strong>, Metro de Medellin<\/strong>, Appimotion<\/strong>, Ridery <\/strong>and Autocab<\/strong> will discuss the link between technology and the transportation sector with the panel: “Innovative Apps for the Urban Mobility of the Future<\/strong>“. While FIM Latin America<\/strong>, the District Mobility Secretariat of Bogota<\/strong>, Tembici <\/strong>and Niu<\/strong> will share their initiatives in the space “Clean and Safe Micromobility: E-Scooters, Scooters, Electric Bikes and Air Mobility<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decarbonization and ESG factors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is impossible to talk about sustainable mobility without taking into account essential aspects that are closely related to it. Therefore, Latam Green<\/strong>, the largest sustainability community in Latin America, has prepared for the attendees of the “Latam Mobility: Colombia<\/strong>“, three panels that will cover corporate decarbonization, by sectors, and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) factors in the second part of the day on June 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel “Decarbonization Strategies for Corporations in Colombia<\/strong>” will feature the companies Grupo Argos<\/strong>, Grupo ISA<\/strong> and Nutresa<\/strong>, who will share with those present the progress, projections and challenges to promote the reduction of emissions at the corporate level, a key aspect to achieve sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be followed by the panel “ESG Criteria: The Opportunity for Banks and Investment Funds to Immerse in Sustainability<\/strong>” where representatives of Bancolombia<\/strong>, Aon Andina<\/strong>, SGS<\/strong>, FDN<\/strong>, Sura Investment Management<\/strong> and BBVA Colombia<\/strong> will discuss their strategies to comply with one of the pillars of decarbonization, ESG factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to close the second day, the companies Atlas<\/strong>, SGS, Engie and Celsia, together with the Ministry of Mines and Energy<\/strong>, will explain their points of view on a complex topic, through the panel “Transport, Energy, Mining and Industry, Key Sectors for Decarbonization in Colombia<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, Invest in Latam<\/strong>, through its Latam Mobility<\/strong> and Latam Green<\/strong> initiatives, will begin its tour of the continent in Colombia<\/strong>, with Chile <\/strong>and Mexico <\/strong>as next destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
